Biography:

Austin has over 9 years of experience working in the engineering consulting field and is licensed as a Professional Engineer in eight (8) states including Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, Missouri, and Florida.

• Member of ASCE (Chicago Chapter) - Urban Planning and Development Group
• Member of USGBC (Chicago Chapter) - Programs Committee
• Member of ASHE (American Society of Healthcare Engineers
• NCEES credential is current (can obtain expedited P.E. licenses in other states through reciprocity).

Outside of the office, Austin enjoys actively writing and acting in sketch comedy for The Second City and the Annoyance Theatres.  Austin also participates in many sports including football, softball, volleyball, and rugby.  Austin has traveled extensively both domestically and internationally with recent trips to the Greek Islands, Romania, the United Kingdom, the Dominican Republic, and Nova Scotia.

• Washington Mutual / Chase Bank
  Program - Provided civil design services
  and permitting assistance for 15 ground
  up branch banks in Southern California.
• TGIFriday's Program - Provided civil design services and full permitting for 5 ground-up restaurants in four states (IL, WI, MA and NY).
• Penske Truck Rental Program - Provided civil design services and permitting assistance for nine building expansions in six states (MI, GA, MA, FL, TX and CA).
• Lowe's Home Centers - Provided civil design services for five ground-up Lowe's Home Centers in Illinois and Wisconsin.
• Kohl's Department Store - Provided civil design services for two ground-up department stores in Indiana and Texas.
• Advance Auto Parts - Provided specialized permitting assistance for two previously constructed stores that were violating environmental regulations in Florida. Procured permits from SouthWestern Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) and Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).
• LTD Management Hotels - Provided civil design services, full permitting and construction administration for an Aloft and Hilton Garden Inn model hotel on adjacent sites in Bolingbrook, Illinois.
• International projects - Provided schematic design and design development services for two projects in Romania. The first was a twin 90-meter tall tower project, the second was a 500 acre mixed use development. Also provided design presence in Romania on multiple occasions at the owner's request.
• U-Haul Truck Rental - Provided pervious pavement design and calculations for a proposed shunting lot in Greater St. Louis. Procured installer bids, and coordinated with the following agencies having jurisdiction: Municipal, MoDOT, St. Louis County, and MSD of Greater St. Louis. MSD accepted original pervious pavement calculations.
